last time we talked the beginning of the timeline + photo checklist...thanks for tuning back in!
this next part we will talk over the groomsmen photos, and the ceremony.
then we'll dive into the family portraits, the bridal party photos, and mr + mrs.
we will end with the reception and VOILA! now you know exactly how much effort we
put into helping you plan your big day and ideas along the way.
Groomsmen Photos!
Developing a relationship with my couples is so incredibly important to me, and I hope it is for you too!! That's why consultation meetings are included in my wedding packages... I believe they are crucial to getting to know each other! I really really love when the groom comes to these meetings. It gives me a chance to get to know them before the engagement, as well as before the big day. During groomsmen photos, usually, Alexis, Sabrina, or Kelley will join the guys and I get to stay with the girls. I rarely get to be with the guys, except for Mr. & Mrs. photos and the whole wedding party photos. The times when I am around the groom, they make me laugh and sometimes they're super sarcastic. My biggest advice to grooms is just to BE YOURSELF. Take silly photos with your groomsmen, let them hold you LOL throw you in the air, let's run, jump, get some socks that match your friendship or your favorite beer, food, or animal. Some guys where the super hero shirts under their tuxes for funny photos. I love getting to know who YOU are and expressing that through photographs. Be yourself. That's all it took for your lady to fall for ya, let's show off that personality in your images. I love getting to know my potential couples by asking a few questions first before we plan to meet up and I will share that questionnaire with yall at a later time! I've actually updated it recently. To be continued on all the questions!!
Ceremony Portraits + Intimate moments!
The ceremony is easily one of my favorite times of the whole day. A lot of people don't put a lot of thought into the photographs during the ceremony but we try to capture all of it, from the behind the scenes candids of family members reactions (mostly crying as expected haha) to you and your dad walking down the aisle from the front and the back perspectives. That's really important to our team, to capture both views. I really strong encourage you to make sure BOTH of those images are captured for your big day. Of course the kiss or dip is my favorite part. I try to even get you to do it AGAIN at the end of the aisle for fun and dramatic effects :P My advice here would be to pick any rituals that are specific to your faith or your love journey. We decided to plant a Bonsai Tree for our unity ceremony and the funniest part is when I forgot to bring the water for it. LOL! hilarious. we'll forever remember that, and the fact that we're glad we have photographs of it, because it didn't last but like 3 months in our home. We are not plant people, and that's okay. What matters is that we chose something to unify us and it was important for me to include our families dirt from our grandparents yard(s) collected by our dads. It symbolized us coming together and becoming one family. We will plant a Bonsai on our anniversary this year together at our home again, gathering dirt from our yard and we plan to make this a yearly tradition that's specific to OUR love story.
Choose yours. Every time.

Mr & Mrs. REALLY MY FAVORITE PART!
This day is about your love story.
RECEPTION! Life of the party!
DANCE. DANCE. DANCE. you deserve a party and you are so worth celebrating after all that stress.
all the planning. all the love and laughter. it deserves a BIG OLE CELEBRATION. let's do just that.
we partied all night long on our wedding night, seriously our reception was 4 hours long and
I do not regret it. I wish it could have lasted forever.
I love to dance, I love to sing, and I love my people.
Emily Anne Photography is A M A Z I N G!
I cannot say good enough things about this little angel. She captured our day perfectly.
I have had a hard time picking these, but feel that these represent our story well.
THERE ARE SO MANY MORE TO SHARE. good grief, she out does her self. that's why I love her!
I'm so thankful that she always lets me use our images to talk about wedding planning and how we
can help all of you, because I've been there, girl. I get it. For a long time before being a bride, I was a natural light and wedding portrait photographer....but being a bride myself changed it all.
Shout out to her for all of this magic and please go hire her if you don't think we are a good fit for ya.
WE LOVE YOU EM!
