Having a hard time planning the timeline + photo ideas for your wedding? HIRE US!

In my previous blog post, I educated ya'll on some of the essential parts of booking with us.

Today we're talking about the timeline + photo checklist, and ya'll these are essential to me running this biz.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR WEDDING YOUR TIMELINE LOOKS A LIL' LIKE THIS:

(typically, every wedding is different).

> WE ARRIVE, COFFEE IN HAND, SOMETIMES FOR OUR BRIDES @ their request

and if we know their fav. flavor or lunch if they didn't get a chance to eat.

> We SET UP. Sometimes this takes me 20-30 minutes, so I try to arrive way ahead of time for my own piece of mind.

> We do the decor/details portion of the timeline + photo checklist. This means having your invites, save the dates, programs, rings (his hers engagement), the floral if you have it already, your shoes, your dress, any other jewelry, your veil, garter, and anything else you'd like us to photograph for you. Some people have a bible, jewelry from their family, or a handkerchief they keep for this big day.

> We hang your dress + veil then bring it back to you for saving keeping or for steamin'

I scout cool places upon arrival so that I know what you're into, I also ask before hand what parts of your venue you love or if you have pinterest ideas that I can gather to remember shots you're into.

> We talk details with you over the big day, we chat with you, laugh with your bridesmaids, ask if we can get you anything and then we dive into the very candid getting ready of the bride + bridesmaids, while my second goes ahead with the guys and does their informal getting ready photos at the same location or travels to the one they're at

> Typically, I stay with the bride while Alexis, Sabrina, or Kelley goes with the groomsmen. I like to say that my style doesn't mesh well with the grooms because I like pretty, fluffy, feminine, and strong boss ladies and sometimes grooms' think I'm too direct, too funny, and they always laugh in their photos with me. That's all good and stuff but where's the stern, handsome manly photos ya'll want, right? MEANWHILE, my SS love the guys photos, they DO sarcasm, they make them serious, funny, jump, scream, roll around, dive onto each other for man bear hugs, and I ALWAYS laugh looking back while I'm editing their photographs. I recognize that they are BETTER AT THAT THAN ME, and that's okay. They go outside, they do their thing, and then the guys can toss those jackets to the side while they wait to usher. What I love is the veil, the dress fluffin', the tossing of the flowers, the details of the dresses, the hand holding of the guys, and doing a pose that reminds you of why you chose your BFF's to support cha. And that's my jam.

> We then go into the bride getting into her dress, she looks amazing, her mom/grandma/mother figure/sometimes great grandmas if you're lucky, flower girl/sister/or MOH is helping her and you're in there with the videographer and sometimes MUA/Hair and the wedding planner. THAT is a lot of people, not to mention bridal party. So I try to convince my brides that it's an awesome idea(s) to do a group bridal party reaction photo. This helps the bridesmaids to transition out of the room, go finish detailing + getting shoes on, and then they can be just as shocked to see you like a friend first look. We DO NOT REGRET doing this. It helps relieve stress, it gives you a moment to have less of an audience, and you're able to feel the shock factor yourself. PEEP my first look with my bridesmaids below.

so we're now getting to those bridesmaids + groomsmen photos for bridal party we spoke on earlier...

> THIS IS SUCH A FUN THING TO EXPLORE. Show me all of your personal ideas from recreating friend photographs, to bridal party ideas from other weddings you've loved, special poses on pinterest.

> LETS MAKE THESE UNIQUE TO YOUR FRIENDSHIP.

you know your friends, you picked them to stand by you. you're probably related, or sisters, or have been best friends through a special time in your life, maybe they're married to your hubby's bffs, maybe they're your cohort, and maybe you've been friends with them 15-30 years like mine...show that off. let's reminisce on what got you here to this moment with them.

> IF YOU FORGET IDEAS, WE HAVE SOME IN OUR PLANS. do not worry. I remember these.

I have them ready for you. They're my back up poses and prompts and I think they're too funny not to use.

> I'll show ya some ideas from my girl's photos below!

Because I have so much to say and share, I'll be continuing this post in a second blog posting coming your way...

SUPER SOON.

until then, stay safe and self-care it up.
